In the workplace, the season of summer won’t be complete without the summer outing. Companies usually hold outings to increase people’s engagement, let the people get to know each other and develop the team spirit through various team activities. This year, the summer getaway of the project I am involved in, is a little way north of Manila – where several kilometers of long beach draw up the edges of Luzon. We spent an overnight  at Subic, Zambales’ Moroccan culture – inspired and luxurious resort, Club Morocco .

Team Building Subic Zambales

We were soaked under the sun for hours as they run into the base line, catch the flying saucer and bump into each other for the famous Beach Ultimate a.k.a Frisbee, Dodge Ball and Relay.

After CET(Central Europe Time)Shift, my office mates and my younger Brother Dom went straight to Pampanga to watch the 16th Philippine Hotair Balloon.

We arrived at around 6 AM and we were just in time to witness the hot air balloons being pumped with air(?) and saw it fly one by one. The weather did not fit the ambiance of the event that I did not enjoy much taking photos. Well, it’s not just what I imagined =) I though I was gonna see something like this. haha

When: February 6, 2011

Where: Cultural Center of the Philippines

After Sunday Service, Doms pulled me to CCP for the Pasinaya 2011 Event. I’ve never heard of the event before not until he showed me this (while in the bus) article saved from his HTC Pulse(Makes me want more or an HTC too!).

Pasinaya 2011 was “dubbed as the biggest one-day performing arts festival” with more than 80 performances from the different corners of CCP.

Since we came in at around 3:30 PM, we were only able to watch a theater performance from JUAN MAKASINING YOUTH ARTIST Network and the Grand Finale at the CCP Main Theatre.

greentennial runI was in the middle of the run.. then there was functional check. For the Win!

January 23 was the Greentennial Run Day and of all days, I was assigned on-call for the weekend system outage. The scheduled Functional Check was 23:00 UK Time which is 7:00 AM here in Manila. It was already Friday when I finally realized that I had a run and a functional check happening at the same time.

5:45 AM nagstart yung cue for the 5K Run. Around 5:50, meron nang nagtext! Hahaha. Kelangan na daw mag-online. Sabi ko 15 minutes. Makatakbo naman ako ng malayo layo. I told myself, bahala na. Itakbo na lang to.  After 15 minutes, I decided to leave and go straight to office. Ang problema, walang taxi! Sarado yung kalsada diba. Haha. So since wala na rin choice.

Ayun, may tumulong samin. Mabilis namin nakita.

At bumoto.

It’s good to exercise our right.

“A vote is like a rifle; its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.” -Theodore Roosevelt.
